William David Hart, Sr., 76, husband of Lisa Holmes Hart of Johnston, SC entered into rest on March 28, 2024.

William was born in Edgefield, SC as the son of the late Mattie Lou and Claude Hart, Sr. He was a retired dispatcher from Aiken Electric Coop., he worked for the Department of Corrections, took photos for STHS sports and ROTC. He was a former DJ for years at WJES radio and Teen Town of Johnston and took pictures for The Edgefield Advertiser. William was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

William is survived by his wife Lisa, four children David Hart, Chris Hart, Richard Derrick (Amanda), Joyce Derrick, nine grandchildren Abby, Rebekah, Kinley, Hunter, Nevaeh, Jackson, Andi Lynn, Keagean and Tony. William is predeceased by his siblings Peggy and Jimmy Hart and Patsy Marsh.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the residence of Terry and Frances Quarles, 451 Weaver St. Johnston, SC. There will be a visitation from 10:00am-11:00am before the service at the residence. The family has asked that all who attend to wear Carolina Gamecock colors if possible.
