Vernon Curtis "Mook" Clegg, Sr., 78, husband of Bonnie Lester Clegg of Hwy 28 South, Plum Branch, SC entered into rest Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Self Regional Medical Center ER in Greenwood, SC. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Plum Branch Cemetery in Plum Branch, SC. Mr. Clegg was born in Edgefield County and was the son of the late Claude Ansel and Mattie Jewel Willis Clegg. He was a retired Construction Worker and he was retired from McCormick County Water and Sewer. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife; six children, Tony Clegg, Randy Clegg, Joyce (Stan) C. Lamb, Wanda (Robert) Rhodes, Curtis (Karen) Clegg, and Donnie Clegg; fourteen grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Johnathan Clegg. The family is at the home of his daughter, Joyce Lamb, Greenwood Hwy, Bradley, SC and will receive friends Friday, March 1, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home in Edgefield, SC.
