Tracy Waddell was born in 1963, and he would insist to anyone that he was the last of the baby boomers, often referring to himself as an "old man" despite his liveliness. His creativity made him land a job as a painter, and several buildings in Edgefield's Town Square were painted by him. He had two daughters, Brianna and Samantha. He also has a young granddaughter who is his oldest daughter's, Samantha. His spouse of over twenty years, Dee, was also his pride and joy. He lovingly referred to her as his "better half." Those who knew him explained that he was forever bragging about his girls.

Beyond his love for his family, he loved antiques, motorcycles, and cars. If the weather permitted, he was surely on his Harley and wearing his matching white helmet. He was a man who loved shoes and clothes, and as his life partner would say, he had more shoes than any man she'd ever met. Tracy's goal was always to be helpful, and although his final circumstances took advantage of his generosity, it cannot erase all the good he did and help he provided. Whether it was manual labor, monetary help, or just a compassionate ear, he was always helping. Tracy would give the shirt off of his back to a stranger. His neighbors often received hot plates when he would make too much for himself and Dee. Strangers in need may know him as the man who bought them a tank of gas or gave them a ride. It is no wonder that he selected to be an organ donor every time he renewed his license. His last wishes were carried out in a way that hopefully allows other families to experience his final gifts. His generosity knew no bounds, and he will remain a light in the lives of those who loved him. Tracy was a kind man, but above everything, he was an amazing spouse, father, and grandfather.

The family of Tracy Waddell will receive friends from 4:00pm-5:00pm on Monday, June 30,2025. The visitation will be held at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home, 801 Columbia Rd. Edgefield, SC 29824.
