Retired Logger Mr. Thomas D. (Tommy) Christie, Jr., 77, of Plum Branch Rd., husband of Lunette W. Christie, died Wednesday June 4, 2014 at Edgefield County Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 7, 2014 at 11 A.M. at Gilgal Baptist Church with burial at Berea Baptist Church cemetery in Edgefield. Mr. Christie was a native of Edgefield County and a member of Gilgal Baptist Church. He was a retired Logger. Survivors include his wife, his children- Wanda (Carroll) Wates, Edgefield, Debbie (Randy) Wates, Edgefield, Greg (Beth) Christie, Edgefield, and Tracie (Robert) Godfrey, Greenwood; 1 Brother- Bobby (Catherine) Christie, Edgefield; Step-Children- Daran (Danny) Felts, Vonne (Maxie) Bullock, Kim (Walter) Sansbury, Mark (Connie) Nixon, Rita (Charles) Stewart, and Tony (Michelle) Williams; 28 Grandchildren and 26 Great-Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Christie was predeceased by his parents Thomas D. and Connie T. Christie, his wife Ann Corley Christie, his wife Ann Nixon Christie and one daughter Marie Christie. The family is at the home on Plum Branch Rd. and will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
