Thomas Ray Adams, Jr., 64, died Sunday, November 17, 2024. He was the son of the late Thomas Ray and Ann Turner Adams.
Thomas was a life-long resident of Edgefield. He was retired from the SCDOT. He was an old car enthusiast and loved talking on his CB radio. Thomas will be remembered by all those that loved him and loved talking with him. He was quite an interesting character and never met a stranger.
Survivors include his sister, Pamela Cook and her husband Larry of Trenton, one nephew, Tradd (Angie) Cook of Trenton, and one niece, Angela (Jay) McLaurin of North Augusta, two great nieces, Kaitlyn Cook and Ruby McLaurin, and two great nephews, Jack Cook and Lauch McLaurin.
A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery in Johnston, S.C., officiated by Rev. James Rodgers, and assisted by Thomas's faithful friends Chaplain Hephzibah Easler from AU Cancer Center and Freddie Martin of the Edgefield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. The family will receive friends at the graveside after the service.
