Homemaker Mrs. Sarah Brooks Morgan Barnes, 93, formerly of Dagenham Drive, Greenville, S.C., departed this life on Thursday September 4, 2014. Graveside Services will be held Monday September 8, 2014 at 11 A.M. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville. Sarah was born on May 2, 1921 to James Carroll and Maggie Johnson Morgan. She was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Johnston, S.C., and was a Homemaker. Mrs. Barnes was very active in the Wade Hampton Community Club and the Lady Bug Garden Club in Greenville. She is survived by sisters, Julia M. Bledsoe of Johnston and Margaret M. Hammond of Edgefield; sisters-in law, Alma Q. Morgan of Edgefield, and Ona Barnes Reid, of Greenville, S.C.; and a host of nieces and nephews. Sarah was predeceased by her husband, James A. Barnes, and brothers, Boyce Morgan of Greenville, S.C. and Preston Morgan of Edgefield. Memorials may be made to Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 632 Rocky Creek Rd. Johnston, S.C. 29832.
