Sara Gable Doolittle, 88, wife of J.L. Doolittle, of Highway 23 West, died Monday October 16, 2017. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday October 18, 2017 at 2 PM at Red Oak Grove Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs. Doolittle was born in McCormick, SC and was retired from Federal Pacific. She was a member of Red Oak Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include; 1 daughter, Emma (Jean) Elwell and her husband Rudy; 1 grandson Troy Elwell and his wife Elisa; 1 great grandson Chance Elwell and his wife Sydney; and 1 great-great grandson Bryer Elwell; 2 sisters Minnie Lee Dorn, and Elizabeth Gable. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Joe, Press, and Alvin Gable. The family is at the home of her daughter on West Martintown Rd. in North Augusta and will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
