Rose Holmes Erwin, 79 of Edgefield, South Carolina entered into rest on November 1, 2024.

Rose was born in Edgefield, South Carolina as the daughter of the late Henry and Maude Holmes and she was the wife of the late Henry E. "Sonny" Erwin. Rose was a retired supervisor in banking and later working for The Edgefield County Assessor's Office. Rose was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Rose is survived by her daughter Melanie Gambrell (Joey), sister Ann Trotter, two brothers Ward Holmes, Ross Holmes (Judy) and her special cousin Joanne Nowak.

The family would like to give special thanks to her niece Kim Moody and the staff at Wesley Commons for their excellent care.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM, Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Wesley Commons Attn: Foundation Office 1110 Marshall Rd. Greenwood, SC 29646.

Services are being entrusted to the care of Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
