Ronnie Dean Combs

 Ronnie Dean Combs, 83, passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2026, after a long illness.

 Ronnie was born on Easter Sunday April 5, 1942, in McRoberts, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Ira D. and Stella Puckett Combs. Ronnie was a truck driver for thirty-seven years. He loved gardening and riding his John Deere lawn mower. He also loved to sing but his favorite hobby was collecting old classic movies, his favorite actor was Humphrey Bogart, and his favorite movie was Singing in the Rain.

 He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sister Madonna “Donna” Powell (Elliott), nieces Ann Reeves (Rick), Renee Henry, nephews Ronny Powell (Paula), Olin Welborn (Patsy) and Tyler Combs (Ashley). Great nieces Jessica Pope (Chris) and Karson Giddens (Isaac), great nephews Andrew Butler (Linda) and Zack Wilkie, three great-great nieces Chasity, Charish and Clarissa Butler, sister-in-law Doris Combs. Ronnie was predeceased in death by his wife of fifteen years, Gail Combs, sister Gloria Combs Welborn, brothers Ira Denver Combs, Jr., Earnest Combs and Jerry Combs.

  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 2:00pm-3:00pm with a memorial service to follow. Both will be held at Mercantile Funeral Home Johnston Chapel, 384 Lee St. Johnston, SC 29832. Rev. Louie Murray officiating.
