Roger Kenneth Walter, 67, of Long Cane Rd., Johnston, SC, husband of the late Gail Bledsoe Walter entered into rest on Saturday, October 31, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery in Johnston, SC. Due to COVID-19 social distancing will be observed and facial masks requested.
Mr. Walter was born in Villard, Minn. and was the son of the late Kenneth and Mildred Peterson Walter. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Shaw Industry, a U. S. Army Veteran, and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include three sons, Heath Boatwright (Renata), Nicholas Boatwright (Melissa), and Adam Walter (Ansley); eight brothers, and sisters, George Walter (Mary Ann) of Alexandria, MN, Ruth Tomes of Omaha, NE, Leona Stratton of Huntington Beach, CA, Charles Walter (Mary Ann) of Ormond Beach, FL, Eunice Pederson (Gary) of Laporte, MN, Ivan Walter and friend Bernice of Monticello, MN, Clinton Walter (Debbie) of Fergus Falls, MN, and Fred Walter (Debbie) of Osakis, MN; three grandchildren, Brittany, Landon, and Gabe Boatwright. He was predeceased by three sisters, Dorothy, Grace, and Marge and two brothers, Leslie, Dan.
