Mr. Robert L. "Buddy" Smith, Jr. Johnston, S.C. Mr. Robert L. "Buddy" Smith, Jr., 69, of Old Plank Road, husband of Frances Paul Smith died on March 10, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday March 12, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home with burial at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park in Edgefield. Mr. Smith was born in Trenton, S.C. and was the owner of Ridge Sales in Johnston, S.C. Survivors include his wife, one son- Robert Lee Smith III, one daughter- Julie (Bill) McCary, one step daughter- Sherrilyn Kelly, one sister- Betty Jean (Bill) Gissendaner, one brother- Woody Smith and two grandsons- Dylan and Brayden McCary.
