Robert Eugene "Bobby" Burton, 76 of Edgefield, husband of Faye G. Burton entered into heaven on February 26, 2025.

Bobby was born as Robert Eugene Burton to the late Elijah and Samuella Padget Burton. He was a retired Vietnam Army Veteran where he was a dog training NCO for the 38th Scout Dog Platoon. He was a retired associate after 35 years of service for SCE&G and a former deacon of Edgefield First Baptist Church. Bobby was an avid Gamecock fan. He had a deep love for his family and a special love for his grandkids.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife Faye Greene Burton, two daughters Brana Patterson (Dean), Robin Robertson (Chad) of Edgefield, SC, three grandchildren Brycen, Caden Patterson and Addison Robertson, sister Virginia Kemp (John Jr.) Preceded in death by his parents Elijah and Samuella Burton, sisters Clara Burton, Frances Cook, Dorothy Smith and brother Marshal Burton.

A visitation will be held from 10am-11am on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Edgefield First Baptist Church. Services will follow directly at 11am at the church and interment at Ebenezer Cemetery in Trenton, SC. The family would like to thank Agape Hospice for the care that was given to Bobby as well as to his family.
