Ray Edward Yonce, 91 loving husband of Joyce Gunter Yonce of Edgefield, SC entered into rest on December 12, 2024.

Ray was born in Aiken, SC as the son of the late Nellie Bly Randall Yonce and Horace Edward Yonce. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and was an Engineer for S.C. Department of Transportation. Ray was a past staff member of Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home and was remembered as a compassionate soul. Ray was a member of Concordia Lodge #50 where he was a Master Mason.

Ray is survived by his wife Joyce, son Andy Yonce, daughter Debra Bradham (John), sister Patricia Fox (Ronnie). He was predeceased by his sister Linda Y. Gregory, brothers Carroll E. Yonce and James S. Yonce.

Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Johnston, SC with burial at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Ansley Glen assisted living facility in Greenwood, Hospice & Palliative Care of Piedmont for their love and care of Mr. Ray.
