R. Tommy Pearson of North Augusta, SC passed away on March 8, 2025. He was born in Telford, TN on June 10, 1949.

His parents were Roy Randolph Pierson and Mildred Jamerson Pierson. He was a retired Church of God of Prophesy minister. He also retired from Delevan in Bamberg, SC.

After retirement he enjoyed visiting the grandchildren, helping the cook team at Fairview Presbyterian, singing in the choir, as long as he was able and traveling with Laura was a joy in his life.

Tommy told everyone he was a Hollywood marine. If you came to visit, he would show you, his picture. He was a Lance Corporal in the 26th & 5th regiments during the Vietnam War. Afterwards he was a member of the National Guard for 17 years.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Pearson, two stepchildren, David Shuster and KatiDee Juhasz, six grandchildren Seth Shuster, Roman Shuster, Bladeon Shuster, Dominic Shuster, Sophie Juhasz and Oliver Juhasz. Also, he was survived by a brother-in-law Gene Rhine and many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to his wonderful caregiver, Sabrina, Al Simpkins from Ginger's adult day care where he helped with the bible study and Jane Mapes who would sit on the porch and have coffee with him. Tommy had a special lifelong friend, Wilson Wright.

He is predeceased by his parents and siblings Sheena Dyches, Brenda Rhine and Roy Pierson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
