Patrick Dean Burton

 Patrick Dean Burton, 63, husband of Dorothy Mae Burton of Aiken, SC entered into rest on January 21,2026.

 Patrick was born in Greenwood, SC as the son of the late Hugh and Susan M. Burton. Patrick spent a good a part of his life in Edgefield. Patrick enjoyed working outside in the yard of his home and helping his neighbors in any way that he could. He loved traveling to Myrtle Beach with his wife Dorothy, cooking and the Carolina Gamecocks and eating at The Lizard’s Thicket.

 Patrick is survived by his wonderful wife Dorothy, his daughter Jamie Burton Vinson (Josh), step children Clifton Turner, Hazel Lee, April Turner (Billy), grandchildren Mayson, Jace, Nolan, Jamie, Leona, Jacob, Jaden, Hannah and Lizzy, sister Lynda Wade. He had a special place in his heart and cared for as his own Tara R. Sprouse. Otis Jake was Patrick’s pet dog and was a happy part of his life and when you saw Patrick you would see Otis by his side. Predeceased by his brothers Sullivan Burton, Rick Burton, granddaughter Lexie Mae Kinder, his precious cat Morgan.

 A service will be held at Gilgal Baptist Church, 335 Gilgal Rd. Edgefield, SC at 1:00pm, Thursday, January 29, 2026, with one hour visitation before the service from 12:00-1:00pm at the church.
