Mattie L. Agner, 69 of Edgefield, SC entered into rest on January 29, 2024.

Mattie was born in Edgefield, SC as the daughter of the late Lucille and James Lamb. Mattie worked for Edgefield County School food services and was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. Mattie enjoyed watching the Braves games and cooking. Her favorite time was that spent with her grandchildren.

Mattie is survived by her husband Jasper of fifty-three years, children Christy Nettles (Stan), Travis Agner (Shannon), Casey Miller (Andrew), grandchildren Christopher Nettles (Riley), Kay Nettles, Savannah Agner (Jacob), Alyson Agner, Callie Agner, Jake Agner, brother Earl Lamb.

Mattie is predeceased by her parents and her grandson James Nettles.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home 801 Columbia Rd. Edgefield, SC 29824. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday. February 1, 2024, at Red Oak Grove Cemetery 174 Red Oak Grove Rd. Modoc, SC.
