Matthew Verdon Padgett, 65 of North Augusta, SC entered into rest on December 18, 2025.

Matthew was born in Augusta, Ga as the son of the late Berenice and Curtis W. Padgett Sr. He was a retired construction worker and a member of Eureka Baptist Church.

Matthew is survived by his daughter Candi Padgett MacRae, sister Connie Krom (Wayne), three grandchildren Damien Padgett, Christopher Fazio and Emma Fazio. He was predeceased by his two brothers.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of NHC-North Augusta and Crescent Hospice for their care and kindness.
