Mary Lou Chandler Matthews, 89, of Center Springs Rd., Edgefield entered into rest on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Tuesday September 20, 2022, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery, 1339 Columbia Rd., Johnston, SC. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.

Mary Lou was born in Washington, GA, and was the daughter of the late Paul and Mattie McCannon Hilley. She was a retired textile worker.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy (Charlie) Sprouse; three grandchildren, Cathy Cooper, Tommy Sprouse, and Amy Drafts; three great grandchildren, Michael, Hunter, and Gabe. Mary Lou is predeceased by a daughter, Betty Ann Williams.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
