Mrs. Mary Alleen McKie Slade, of Edgefield, wife of the late Sam Slade, died Wednesday October 15, 2014 at Edgefield County Hospital. Graveside Services will be held Saturday October 18, 2014 at 11 A.M. at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park in Edgefield, S.C. Mrs. Slade was born in Edgefield, S.C. and was a Homemaker. She was a Parishioner at the Episcopal Church of the Ridge. Survivors include 2 sons- Sam Mitchell Slade, Jr., Arthur (Penney) Slade; 1 daughter- Jean Slade (Chris) Covar; 1 brother- Robert H. McKie, Jr.; 1 sister- Mildred Morgan; 6 Grandchildren- Elliott Slade, Mary Elaine Slade, Bailey Peeler, Sarah Peeler, Ben (Miriam) Covar, and Jason Covar.
