Luther "Don" Quarles 89, of Bland Baptist rd. Johnston, SC husband of the late Mary Newman Quarles entered into rest on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Mr. Quarles was born in McCormick, SC and was the son of the late Henry Quarles and Odie Nelson Quarles. He was a retired insurance salesman for Aflac after having served and retired as a Senior Chief in the US Navy. Survivors include: two sons, Steve (Mi Hyun) Quarles, Phillip (Amanda) Quarles. Seven Grandchildren, David and Tim Presley, Raymond, Joshua, Lexi, Ethan and McKenna Quarles as well as six Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Ronnie Quarles and daughter Debra Quarles. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday January 20, 2022, at Lighthouse Fellowship Church, with burial to follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery 1339 Columbia rd. Johnston, SC 29832.
