Linda Gibson Smith, 79, wife of Robert "Buddy" Smith of Johnston, SC entered into rest on December 12, 2025.

Linda was born in Augusta, Ga. as the daughter of the late Iris and William "Billy" Gibson. Linda was a retired school teacher of fifty-seven years. She was a member of Johnston First Baptist.

Linda is survived by her husband Buddy, one son Matthew Smith, two grandchildren Kirsti Smith, Gunner Smith, one stepchild Sheila Crow, three step-grandchildren Nicole Bryant (Tyler), Luke Smith and Cody Crow.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Monday, December 15, 2025, at Mercantile Funeral Home Johnston Chapel with a graveside service at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Graveside will be held at Harmony Methodist Church Cemetery, 98 Bouknight rd. Johnston, SC. Memorials may be made to Johnston First Baptist Church.
