Leonard Walker Padgett, Jr.

Walker Padgett, 76, of Cookeville, TN, entered into rest on 4/2/2023.

Born in Trenton, Edgefield County, SC, he was the son of the late Leonard Walker Padgett, Sr., and Dorothy Seawright. He retired from First Citizens Bank after thirty-seven years of service as a branch manager and was an army veteran with many distinguished medals.

He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. More than anything else, however, he enjoyed his family.

He leaves behind his daughter Tonya Padgett Strong and her husband Ronald of Cookeville, TN; Grandchildren, Brettianee Anderson (Titus), Hannah Gentry (Ben), David Sund, and great-grandchildren, Silas Walker Anderson, Andie Beth Gentry, Mathis Anderson, and Judah Gentry; Sister, Jane Moates; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his brother David C. Padgett and brother-in-law Earl Moates.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 6th, 11:00 AM at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Trenton, SC.

The family will receive friends following the service and at the home of his sister, Edgefield Rd. Trenton, SC.
