Lena Temples Rose, 66 of Ward, SC wife of Marion Rose passed away peacefully at her home on March 19,2024.

Born January 16, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Miriam Temples. She was a faithful member of Richland Springs Baptist Church. She touched many lives in her years as a Sunday school teacher, friend, mentor and was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Marion Rose, her children Anna Collins (John), Brantley Rose (Kaitlyn) and Meridith Chesser (Richard), grandchildren Lain Bartley, Josey Rose, siblings Steve Temples, Marilyn Rankin, Carolyn Burgess (Billy) and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice Care of Piedmont for their compassionate care.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Mercantile Funeral Home Johnston Chapel, 384 Lee Street Johnston, SC 29832. Services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday at Richland Springs Baptist Church, 6595 Duncan Rd. Ward, SC 29166 with burial to follow at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery, Johnston, SC. Pallbearers will be Carson Burgess, Quest Hallman, Jacob McCarty, Hunter Temples, Adam and Dylan Godbey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richland Springs Baptist Church, 6595 Duncan Rd. Ward, SC, Connie Maxwell Childrens Ministries, PO Box 1178 Greenwood, SC 29648 and/or Boys Farm Inc. 6655 SC 34 Newberry, SC 29108.
