Mr. Lathan "Pop" Self, 65, of Oak Hill St, husband of Judy Blackwell Self, died Wednesday July 2, 2014. Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 5, 2014 at 10 A.M. at Parksville Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the Church Fellowship Hall. Mr. Self was a native of Parksville, S.C. and son of the late Gary B. and Alta Talbert Self. He was a Deacon and a member of Parksville Baptist Church. Mr. Self was a retired Superintendant of South Atlantic Constructors Inc. He was a Board Member of Plum Branch Saddle Club and he was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife, 1 son- Todd (Jenny) Self; 1 Daughter- Toni (Wayne) Kirkland; 1 Brother- Gary Keith (Becky) Self, Simpsonville, S.C.; Grandchildren- Colton and Harley Kirkland, Gracie and Kensley Self, and Tank Walker. Pallbearers will be Toni, Wayne, Colton, and Harley Kirkland, Angie, Toby, and Becca White, Gary Self, Jr., Franky and Tank Walker, and Ferrel Percival.
