Kathy Herron Auvenshine

 Kathy Herron Auvenshine passed away peacefully at Hammond Square in North Augusta, SC on January 29, 2026. Kathy was born on December 1,1950 in Edgefield, SC to Frances Sharp Herron and A. H. Herron.

 Kathy retired from Edgefield County in 2013 where she was a Purchasing Agent for many years. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her beloved husband Debro and their Boston Terrier Mia at the farm and cabin in Ridge Spring.

 She enjoyed spending time with family, especially at family dinners around the holidays. She attended Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta where she enjoyed worshiping.

 Kathy was preceded in death by parents A.H and Frances Sharp Herron, her husband Debro Auvenshine, brothers Donnie Herron, Billy Herron, sister Judith Herron and special sister Essie Barnes.

 Kathy is survived by her daughter Maria Flores-Harris (James), sister Beverly Shields (Mike) and special nieces and nephews Cindy Parkman (Tony), Ricky Shields and Robert Velasco (Tera) and step children Danny Auvenshine (Sheila) and Debra Auvenshine Pacifico.

 A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 620 West Martintown Rd., North Augusta, SC 29841.
