John Allen Dancy

 John Allen Dancy, age 72, passed away peacefully at this home on March 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

 Born on April 13, 1953, John was the son of the late Sumner Allen Dancy and Winnerton Asbill Dancy. He lived a life centered on family, love, and quiet strength, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.

 Allen is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Dancy; his two sons, Chad Dancy and Brad Dancy (Kacie); and his beloved grandchildren, Olivia Dancy, Scott Dancy, Savannah Dancy, Drake Dancy, Dallas Dancy and Remington Dancy. He was a proud husband, father, and grandfather, and his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

 He will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

 The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Mercantile Funeral Home Johnston Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00 am at Bethel Baptist Church in Monetta, SC. Burial will follow in Ridge Spring Cemetery.
