Joe Hamp Parks, 73, entered into rest on January 26, 2024. He is now in the embrace of our Lord Jesus' comforting arms.

Joe was born in McCormick, SC as the son of the late Edward Hamp and Frances Parks. At 26 Joe married his soulmate Liz in Parksville, Sc. May 2nd would be their 48th wedding anniversary. Joe was a retired heavy equipment operator for multiple different Augusta area companies. Joe was a long-term member of the Masons. He enjoyed hunting quail with trusty bird dogs as well as horseback riding as a past member of the Plum Branch Saddle club. He was a devout Christian and a member of Parksville Baptist Church.

Joe is survived by his wife Liz, daughter Tammy (David) Swann, son Joey (Michelle) Parks, grandson David (Larissa) Poole, grandson Ryan Parks, and great grandson Mason Poole. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his sisters Sarah Goff and Mary Bass.

At his request there will be no funeral services and a memorial that will be held at a later date that the family will communicate. We appreciate all the prayers as we go through this time of loss.
