Mrs. Hammond was born in Sumter, SC. and was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church. She was a loving Wife, Mother and a Homemaker. Survivors include her husband, 1 daughter Sarah Gayle (Jack) Borders; 2 sons, Bobby Lee (Carol) Hammond, III, and Bill (Shannon) Hammond; 9 grandchildren, Susannah, Caroline, Ellie, Ruthie, Joanie, Drew, Nick and his wife Blaire, Cody, and Joshua; 2 brothers Tim (Virginia) Marbert, and Nicky (Sandy) Marbert.
