Jeffrey Leonard Lalonde departed this life on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. He was born in Augusta, Georgia, on June 8, 1965, and, except for a few years living in Aiken, he was a proud resident of Edgefield his entire life.

Jeff was a Senior Training Specialist for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions and had been working at the Savannah River Site for over 30 years. He met the love of his life, Candi, when they were seniors in high school, and they were married for more than 37 years. They enjoyed music and attended many concerts by bands they both enjoyed through the years. They also learned to play bridge from Candi's parents and enjoyed playing bridge with dear friends every month for the past 20 years.

Jeff was devoted to his children and was present for every high school ball game, play, and Special Olympics event the children participated in. He was the Boy Scout leader for Troop 30 in Edgefield when his boys were involved in scouting, and he led most of the boys in Troop 30 to reach Eagle Scout during his time as Troop Leader.

He loved being a father, and that love grew even greater when he became a grandpa when his granddaughter Jayde was born.

Family was the most important thing to Jeff. In addition to his wife, survivors include 2 sons: Dustin Lalonde (Mikayla) of North Augusta, Dalton Lalonde (Alyssa) of New Ellenton, and 1 daughter, Peyton Lalonde, of the home in Edgefield; his father, Leonard Lalonde of Edgefield; two sisters, Shannon Eargle (Tim) of Aiken, Karen Lalonde (Ed) of Jacksonville, Florida; one grandchild, Jayde Lalonde; nephews Brandon Herndon (Gina), Nick Herndon (Adrianne), Tanner Eargle (Lindsey), one niece, Skylar Levi (Corey); and special cousins Lorie (Jack) Taylor and Scott (Beverly) Quarles. He was predeceased by his mother, Kathryn Lalonde.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery. The family will be at the home on Youngblood Road, Edgefield, SC.
