James Carlton Williamson, 73 husband of Pamela T. Williamson of Edgefield, SC entered into rest on September 26, 2025, in the comfort of his home.

James, one of twelve children, was born and raised in Edgefield, SC as the son of Josephine and Joseph Williamson. He retired as a postmaster from the US Postal service and was a proud retired member of the SC National Guard. James was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church.

James enjoyed golf and traveling on weekend golf trips. He loved playing guitar, and sports cars were his favorite hobby. The love for his fur babies held a special place in his heart.

James is survived by his loving wife Pamela and predeceased by his daughter Sandie Marie Williamson as well as six brothers and five sisters.

A service will take place at 11:00am, Monday, September 29, 2025, at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home, 801 Columbia Rd. with burial following at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery in Johnston, SC. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
