James "Jim" Buster Howard Jr., 56 husband to Lisa Howard of Trenton, SC entered into rest on February 3, 2024.

Jim was born in Ft. McClellan, Alabama as the son of Mary Jane Howard and James Buster Howard Sr. Jim is a retired U.S. Army Combat Veteran who served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield. Jim was a loyal employee of Augusta Ready Mix/Davis Hauling for the past eighteen and a half years.

Jim is survived by his wife Lisa, his parents, children James Thomas Howard (Mary), Randi Nichole Coomes (John), brother Timothy Howard (Martina) of Germany, grandchildren Lanette, SJ, Evelyn, Nevaeh, Saylor, John, Bowen & Goldie. Several nieces and nephews along with several great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kelvin McLendon, Peter Crumb, Andy Sealy, Jose Tovar, Michael Prouty and Brandon Andrews.

When Jim was not working his favorite thing to do was talk on his CB radios and spend as much time as possible with the grandchildren. Many know his favorite sayings are "I need just on more radio, and I have a secret, don't tell you know who" and he would always tell the grandchildren "I love you, but I can't save you?"

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home 801 Columbia Rd. Edgefield, SC 29824. A service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Red Hill Baptist Church 598 Red Hill Rd. Edgefield, SC.
