Howard Ervin Trotter, 94 passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the VA Nursing Home in Augusta, Ga.

Mr. Trotter was born on February 16, 1931, in Saluda County to the late George and Della Mae Trotter.

He proudly served his country in the Army for twelve years. He then worked at Pendarvis Chevrolet for over thirty years, where he worked as a mechanic and a wrecker driver.

He was a no-nonsense man but one that believed in hard work and his work was very important to him. He took great pride in what he did, and he believed everyone else should also.

Mr. Trotter is survived by his daughter June Hart (Jim), brother Gene Trotter (Gerri), nephews David Trotter (Heather) and Michael Trotter. Also, numerous other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Ary McBride Trotter and his second wife Margaret Jones Trotter, one daughter Susan Trotter and two brothers Curtis and Norman Trotter.
