Ware Mathis, 71, of Edgefield, died Friday November 15, 2013 at University Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 2 P.M. at Republican Baptist Church with Rev. Lance Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. Mr. Mathis was a native of Edgefield County and was a retired land maintenance worker. Survivors include 1 daughter- Pam Esther; 6 Sisters- Miriam Morgan, Bettie Martin Wash, Ellie Miller, Alleen Miller, Shirley Whaley, Mary Lee Jennings; 2 Grandchildren- Alisha and Cameron Harley; 1 Great-Grandchild- Ayden Haltiwanger.
