Gerod Michael Carter was born October 7, 1964 in New Orleans, La to the late Ida Lee White.

 Gerod was raised by a village of family members which includes his Grandmother Margie Burris, His grandfather George Burris, his Aunt Elaine Burris an and Uncle Gentris Burris as well as his step Father Oliver White. Gerod was a truck driver for years and traveled to a lot of states in the US. Gerod then moved to Georgia where he started a lawn company and drove a bus for a Daycare and church. He later moved to South Carolina where he met his Better half his wife Martha Seigler.

 Gerod enjoyed Collecting antiques, working in cars, fishing, and taking care of animals. He is preceded in death by his Mother Ida Lee White, his sister Tania Slyvest , his Grand Parents Margie and George Burris, an Aunt Elaine Burris and his step father Oliver white.

 He is survived by his brother George Cobie Burris, his uncle Gentris Burris His Aunt Brenan Burris and Uncle Larry Burris and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and Friends . Funeral services will be held August 12,2026 at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral home at 11am in Edgefield, Sc. The family will be happy to take any contributions and would love to express their appreciation to all.
