G. Hugh Swearingen, 73 husband of Deborah Kitchens Swearingen of Aiken, SC entered into rest on May 1,2024.

Hugh was born in Augusta, Ga as the son of the late Natalee Seigler Swearingen and George William Swearingen. Hugh was retired from waste management at S.R.S and a retired security guard. Hugh was a US Marine Corp Veteran.

Hugh is survived by his children George Hugh Swearingen Jr., Kim Mills (Steve), Scotty Swearingen (Jennifer), six grandchildren Josh, Morgan, Tucker, Tyler, Bryson and Kaylee, two great grandchildren Riggs and Riley, one sister Margaret Rhoden.

The family will be receiving friends from 9:30am-10:30am, Monday, May 6, 2024, at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home, 801 Columbia Hwy. Edgefield, SC 29824. A graveside service will follow at 11:00am at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Edgefield First Baptist Church PO Box 624 Edgefield, SC 29824.
