Mrs. Gay Barbare Purvis, 80, of Greenville, S.C., died Wednesday November 21, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Saturday November 24, 2012 at 2 P.M. at the Chapel in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, S.C. Mrs. Purvis was born in Greenville and was a Charter member of Gilead Independent Baptist Church in Pickens, S.C. She was a retired Accounting Clerk for Delta Woodside. Survivors include 3 children- Rev. Dr. C. Richard Barbare, Jr., Michael Hoyt Barbare, and Susan Barrios. She was predeceased by her first and second husbands Charles Richard Barbare, Sr. and Thomas D. Purvis.
