Gaston W. "G.W." Franklin, Sr. of Hardy Place Rd. husband of Janie Fields Franklin entered into rest on April 11, 2022. G.W. was born in Johnston, SC as the son of the late Hasting Franklin, Sr. and Onie Bell Rodgers Franklin. He was a member of Philippi Baptist church and a retired textile worker. G.W. is survived by his wife, one daughter Wanda Neister, one son Gaston W. (Jenny) Franklin, Jr., one brother Bobby Franklin, one sister Orrie Mae Harris, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his daughter Karen Franklin. A graveside service will be at 3pm Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery, 1339 Columbia Rd. Johnston, SC. Family will receive friends after the service at the grave.
