Mrs. Frances Dike Brewer Johnson, 89, born December 12, 1936, entered Heaven’s Gates June 15 following an extended illness at the Henry County Hospital Paris, Tennessee. Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by husband Rev. Richard B. Brewer, Sr. (married 1955-1990) and her second husband Mr. Harold A. Johnson (married 1993-2018), and by her middle son Martin D. Brewer (2017).

Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong musician serving as organist/pianist for churches across the southeast from ages 14 to 82. Countless organists/pianists were taught by Mrs. Johnson during her tenure as an active church musician.

Surviving family members include sons Rev. Dr. Richard B. Brewer, Jr (Cathy), and Tedd W. Brewer; grandchildren Jason Brewer, Amanda Brewer, Jonathan Brewer, Blair Hodges, Samantha Stephens, Jennifer Herron, Loretta Angel; great-grandchildren Adalyn Brewer, Knox Brewer, Piper Brewer, Colton Hodges, Easton Hodges, Marie St. Clair, Colton Herron, William Stephens, Astro Stephens, RyLee Stephens, Hadley Ballard, and Raelyn Ballard. The family is grateful for friend and caregiver Kimberly Veach.

Graveside service will be Friday, June 19, 2026, at Antioch Baptist Church Edgefield at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Antioch Baptist Church, 1843 Hwy. 23 W.
