Ward Holmes, 89 of Edgefield, SC entered into rest on March 13, 2025.

Ward was born in Edgefield, SC as the son of the late Buddy and Maude Hamilton Holmes. He was a retired textile worker of 48 years for The Graniteville Company and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Ward is survived by his sons Mike Holmes (Tonya), Tony Holmes, sister Ann Trotter, brother Ross Holmes (Judy), three grandchildren Sonya Risher (Lee), Amanda Sievert (Bud), Aaron Davis (Ashland), three great grandchildren Ava, Rylan, Kenzley and one great-great grandchild Addie. Predeceased by his late wife Arnette Bledsoe Holmes and daughter Karen Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home, 801 Columbia rd. Edgefield, SC. The family will greet friends after the service.
