Emma "Jean" Dozier Sanders, 72 of Aiken, SC entered into rest on December 19, 2023.

Jean as she was lovingly known by family and friends was born in Modoc, SC as the daughter of the late Katie Mae Dozier.  Jean was a member of Lighthouse Fellowship and was a well-respected employee of Tailgate Tavern in Aiken. Jean previously was the dietary supervisor at Edgefield County Hospital for many years. Jean had a big personality that would light up any room she walked into. Her love of music, dancing and cooking was felt by those that loved her. Music would make her eyes light up and her toes tap until she would finally begin to dance as she would feel the music deep into her soul. Cooking was said to have been her love language and if you had ever had the honor of eating the meals so lovingly prepared by Jean you would have seen her smile from across the table for it warmed her heart to see those happy sharing her recipes. To have known Jean was to love her. She will be missed by her family and friends equally.

Emma "Jean" is survived by her children, Joseph Dozier, Keenesha Sanders, Eugene Dozier, Michael Sanders (Jessica), sister Pearl Dozier, soul mate Wade McCain, eight grandchildren and Emma Jean is predeceased by her granddaughter Rai'gene.

The family will hold a memorial visitation from 12:00PM - 2:00PM on Saturday, December 23, 2003 at the funeral home, 801 Columbia Rd. Edgefield, SC 29824.
