 Douglas Jon Highman, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected truck driver in transportation, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, in Greenwood, South Carolina. Born on September 25, 1962, in Ashland, Ohio, Douglas led a life marked by dedication to his career, his family, and his passions.

 Douglas was known for his steadfast commitment to his work as a truck driver, where he contributed many years to the transportation industry with reliability and pride. Beyond his professional achievements, Douglas found immense joy in traveling alongside his beloved wife, Yvonne. Their shared adventures and travels enriched their lives and created cherished memories that those close to him will forever hold dear.

 He is survived by a loving family who remember him with great affection. His wife, Schondria Neal Highman, stood by his side through the years, providing unwavering support and companionship. Douglas was a proud father to his children Lawrence Highman and daughter-in-law Carol, Sarah Rogers and husband Nick, Daniel Sheffield and his wife Sam, Davey Sheffield and wife Nicole, and Ashley Hardeman. His family was always a source of pride for him. He was also fortunate to share his life with his mother, Glenna Jean Longwell, and his siblings: brother Scott Highman and sister-in-law Annie, sister Barbie Loy and brother-in-law John, as well as sister Janis Richards and brother-in-law Stephen.

 Douglas  was the proud grandfather to ten grandchildren, each holding a special place in his heart.

 His father, Wilbur Ray Highman, preceded him in death.

 Douglas Jon Highman’s legacy is one of love, dedication, and a life well-lived. His memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who loved and respected him.
