Mrs. Doris Kemp, age 96, of Edgefield, SC entered into eternal rest on Friday November 14, 2025, at her favorite place, her home. Born January 23, 1929, to Olive and John Henry West of the westside of Edgefield, Doris lived a simple life filled with those she loved and those who loved her. Preceded in death are her husband, Sam Quarles, son, Alan Quarles, and several brothers and sisters. Doris worked for years at the Crest Company before working at Corley-Kemp Auto Parts with her second husband, Olin Kemp. She loved reading her bible daily, eating anything sweet, sitting on her front porch, talking on the phone, and being with her family more than anyone will ever know, especially her great grandson, Lil Curtis. Those left behind to cherish her memories are her older son Wesley Quarles (Sandy), granddaughter, Jaime Q. Killough (Curtis), and her beloved great grandson, Lil Curtis, sister, Delane Miller (William), and a host of nieces and nephews. At her request, arrangements will be brief at the graveside in Antioch Baptist Church cemetery on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 11AM.
