David Clarence Mathis, 71 husband of Lynn Mathis of North Augusta, SC entered into rest on June 10, 2025.

David was born in Dublin, Ga., son of Rachel Mathis Rozar and William A. Mathis Sr. He retired from sales in the automotive business and was a member of True North Church.

David is survived by his loving wife Lynn Reel Mathis, children Brittany Dale (Matt), Heather Fogle (Josh), Barrett Ulm (Jacinda), four grandchildren Ansley and Ace Dale, Taylor and David Fogle, two brothers William A. Mathis Jr., Jeff Mathis. Predeceased by his brother Ronnie Mathis.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Services will be held at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery in Johnston, SC. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to True North Church, 1060 W. Martintown Rd. North Augusta, SC 29841.
