Obituary

Cynthia Odell Bull, AKA, Mom, MiMi, Snake Wrangler, Raven Lunatic, departed this life Tuesday, November 19, 2024. A New Year's Baby born in 1942; she has had ties to Edgefield for the better part of her life. Upon graduating Edgefield High School as a Bulldog, she went on to Converse College. She became an Educator and taught school, eventually earning her Master of Education Degree from the University of South Carolina.

In the early 1980's, she decided to play a little tennis at Pine Ridge Country Club where she met Butch Bull. From there it was Game/Set/Match/Love/Love. Together they had the privilege of hopping jets and boats to wonderful destinations around the world. She dearly loved all her children as well as the in-laws and out-laws, grandchildren, and of course, the great-grandchildren. Not to mention those who were her adopted children and grands throughout the area. Cynthia loved her sister Henrietta, her classmates and childhood chums with whom she grew up, the circles of church brothers and sisters and little lambs wherever we called home. If there was one she loved more than these, that was our blessed Savior Jesus.

Cynthia Bull was a huge advocate for the musical and performing arts and personally blessed folks with the gift of music as she praised God through piano in church or at the hospital and singing in the choir. Getting involved in Bible Studies and serving others as the hands and feet through multiple aspects and activities as a volunteer in the community allowed her to bless and be blessed. There was no fear to face any challenge with spunk and creativity.

In conclusion, if we may quote a wonderful statement made by one of her "babies" here in Edgefield to sum it all up, "My MiMi was such an incredible woman who taught me the importance of being kind, working hard, and having fun. She was the light of the room and always made everyone feel special. She stepped in and became a huge part of my family when we needed it most. I am forever grateful for all the memories we got to share. I love you so much, Mimi."

Survivors include four children Harcourt Bull IV (Anicia Brown), Angela Bull Bowden (Brad), George Hammond Boyd Jr. (Suzanne), Henry Harrison Boyd (Dawn), and one sister Henrietta Humphries, five grandchildren Harcourt Bull V (Jessica), Christian Bull, Katherine Boyd, Eli Bowden, Rhea Bowden, three great-grandchildren Harcourt Bull VI, Elowen Bull, Teddy Bull.
