Charles D. Harris "Dean" 78, passed away March 22nd, 2025, at Roper St. Fraces Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, SC following a brief battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

Born June 1, 1946, in Metter, Ga. at a young age moved to Aiken, SC where he spent most of his life in the area.

Mr. Harris was a man of many talents and abilities over his life. He mostly held various jobs in welding, from ships to industrial, even once in the oil field of Alaska. He also maintained shopping centers, built homes and worked in maintenance at NutraSweet Co. before it changed hands.

Dean was a friend to anyone he met. He was an avid golfer, pool player and enjoyed fishing of any kind.

Mr. Harris is survived by one son Jesse D. Harris (Melissa) of Johnston, a brother Vernon Harris (Ann) of Florence, SC, two sisters Jane Jones (Jimmy) and Patsy Easler of Edgefield, also a VERY beloved Aunt Belle Collins of Aiken, SC, along with several nieces and a nephew.

Mr. Harris is predeceased by his parents, Junious V. Harris of Clarks Hill, and Queen C. Miller of Edgefield. Also, a sister Sandra Sloan of Anderson, SC.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Ebenezer Cemetery.
