Risher, Sr. died August 1, 2011 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home with burial at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Survivors include 2 daughters Faye (Bill) Vaughan, Ninette (Jimmy) Whitlock, one son Edgell L. Risher, Jr., 2 stepchildren, 4 sisters Melissa Bunch, Marie Taggart, Mildred Burbage, Peggy (Larry) McCracken, 3 brothers Lambert Woods, Earl Woods, Gene Woods and a number of grandchildren, great grand and great great grandchildren.
