Retired Machinist Mr. Carroll Vernon Childers, 90, of Edgefield Rd., husband of the late Hazel Childers, died Friday July 20, 2012 at his residence. A Graveside Service will be held Monday July 23, 2012 at 11 A.M. at Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Childers was a native of Highpoint, N.C. and was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in North Augusta. He was a retired Machinist and a veteran of WW II. Survivors include 1 daughter- Sylvia Bost; 1 son- Nelson V. Childers; 1 Sister- Lucy J. Rhoney; 6 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great- Grandchildren. The family is at the home of his daughter Sylvia Bost on Edgefield Road.
