Carrie Hopkins Monday, 79 of Edgefield, SC entered into rest on April 8th, 2023.

Carrie was born in Edgefield, SC as the daughter of the late Judy Parkman Hopkins and Marvin Hopkins. She truly loved her hometown as having been born and raised in Edgefield. She found interest in the history of Edgefield and was a photographer and Co-President of Edgefield Historical Society. She extended her interest in history by assisting in digs for pottery and sharing the history with others by giving ghost tours when available. Carrie enjoyed being a part of a garden club and was also a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church.

Carrie is survived by her daughter Ronda Capps, son Alfonso (Angel) Covey, granddaughter Cameron Capps and many of her close friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Monday, April 24th, 2023, at Horn's Creek Church 475 Old Stage Rd. Edgefield, SC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home, Edgefield, SC.
