Carolyn Coleman Andrews, 78, of Earney Rd., Woodstock, Ga entered into rest Wednesday November 8, 2017. Graveside Services will be held Sunday November 12, 2017 at 3 PM at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery in Edgefield, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 PM before the service at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home. Carolyn Andrews was born Mary Carolyn Coleman on Christmas Eve 1938 in Edgefield, SC. She graduated from the University of South Carolina and married Donald Andrews of Chicago, taking the opportunity to shed the name "Mary" which never suited her very much anyway. Shortly thereafter, she gave birth to her only child, Angie Andrews, who did suite her very much. Carolyn taught at Wardlaw Academy and then Aiken High School until her retirement, returning to USC to complete a Master's degree during her summers. After retirement she moved to Woodstock, Georgia to live with her daughter and her son-in-law, Ray Radlein. She is survived by Angie and Ray and a houseful of cats who found her lap to be nearly irresistible. Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
