Calvin O'Neil Bartley Sr., 97 husband of the late Betty Dorn Bartley of Edgefield, SC entered into rest on December 12, 2025.

Calvin was the son of the late Dacus O'Neil and Lucile Griffis Bartley. He was a member of McKendree Methodist Church, a charter member of Northside Volunteer Fire Department, a member of Hezzie Griffis American Legion Post 30 and a life member of Concordia Masonic Lodge #50 of Edgefield. Calvin served in the Strategic Air Command of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Champion International Paper Company.

Calvin is survived by his son Calvin "Neil" Bartley Jr. (Dale), his daughter Marcia B. Pieper (Don), his daughter Cindy B. Floyd (Haynie), three grandsons Christopher Bartley (Jessamyn), Shawn Pieper (Valerie) and Ben Pieper, two granddaughters Marlie F. Rahn (Jason), Holly Floyd as well as four great-grandchildren Gavin Hughes, Sawyer Bartley Sutton Bartley and Taylor Rahn. Calvin is also survived by his sister Florence B. Corley and sister-in-law Juanita Bartley. He is predeceased by his brother John Robert Bartley and his brother-in-law Marcus Corley.

Funeral services will be held at McKendree Methodist Church on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 2:00pm with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the Family Life Center. Memorials may be made to McKendree Cemetery Fund at c/o Jim Dorn III 212 Faulkner Mountain Rd. Edgefield, SC 29824 or the charity of one's choice.
